Directing two short films in one day

Two short films. One day. In this episode of Bad Flavor TV, I’m taking you through the process of directing two completely different short films in a single shoot day. The first was created in collaboration with Adobe, exploring my creative process and how I use Firefly Boards to turn loose references and ideas into an actual visual world. Instead of making a traditional piece of content, we decided to approach it as a short film — shot on 16mm. The second film, Baby Boom, was made in collaboration with designer Faye van der AA. What started with one detail, a pair of heels with wings, became the starting point for an entire story and character. Two different ideas, two different worlds, all brought to life in one day. This episode follows everything from the concepts and preparation to directing on set, shooting film and figuring things out along the way.
