Chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGvHD) remains one of the major complications following allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. As interest in regulatory T cell (Treg) therapies continues to grow, donor-derived Tregs are being explored for their potential to promote immune tolerance and support the management of immune-mediated complications after transplantation. In this presentation, Prof. João F. Lacerda (University of Lisbon, Portugal) discusses the use of donor Tregs for the treatment of cGvHD. Drawing on clinical experience and current developments in the field, he explores the rationale behind donor Treg-based approaches and their potential role in transplantation.
