25 Rooftop Units, 5 Setups, 1 Day: MK 140-5.1 in Action

Our MK 140-5.1 spent the day setting rooftop units on this warehouse project, and it didn't slow down once. The crew broke the job into 5 separate setups to reach every corner of the roof, landing all 25 units before the day was done. Unit weights ranged from 3,000 lbs up to 6,200 lbs, which meant constant load changes and repositioning, and the crane handled every one of them without missing a beat. We caught up with the operator on site to get his take on the job. Jobs like this are exactly where the MK 140-5.1 earns its keep. A project with this many units, spread across a roof this size, would typically call for multiple cranes working in tandem or stretch across several days just to get everyone set. Instead, one crane and one crew got it done in a single day, which says a lot about what this machine can do when the job calls for reach, mobility, and repeat setups without losing time.
