In this video, I share my experience travelling overnight from Esplanade, Kolkata, to Bhubaneswar on a premium Volvo sleeper coach. The bus departs Kolkata at 8:00 PM and is scheduled to reach Bhubaneswar at around 5:15 AM. Puri is just another hour’s drive from Bhubaneswar, making this a convenient option for travellers planning a trip to the holy city. 🚌 My Travel Experience The journey was really comfortable. The Volvo 9600 SLX Sleeper offers a pleasant overnight travel experience, especially when train tickets are unavailable. Here are some of the highlights of my journey: ✅ Comfortable Volvo Sleeper: Shyamoli’s latest Volvo 9600 SLX Sleeper coach. ✅ Clean Bedding: The bus operator provided clean, white bedding, which made the overnight journey more comfortable. ✅ Perfect AC Temperature: The air-conditioning was maintained at a comfortable temperature throughout the journey. ✅ Bio Toilet: The bus is equipped with a bio toilet, an important facility for overnight travel. ✅ Dinner Break: The bus stopped for approximately 30 minutes at Azad Hind Dhaba for dinner. I had a very comfortable journey and was dropped off at Bhubaneswar at around 4:30 AM, earlier than the scheduled arrival time of 5:15 AM. 💰 Bus Fare The usual fare for this journey is approximately ₹2,500–₹3,000, depending on the travel date and availability. However, as I travelled during the peak season, I paid ₹5,000 for my ticket.
