The Powder Seeker 6 at Big Sky Montana is a 6 person bubble chair that travels through Big Skys biggest bowl, and gives skiers access to the tram located not too far from the summit. It replaced an older Heron-Poma triple from 1973, and interestingly was built with the same capacity as its predecessor (1800 riders per hour), despite being a six person detachable. From this lift, skiers can lap the main bowl by taking Turkey Trot, or take Upper Morningstar or Ski Time back to the base of the lift. When installed in 2016, it was the first lift of Big Sky's 2025 plan, and also constructed with the Challenger triple. It features heated seats, European style lifting frames, and UNI-G terminals. Info: Builder: Doppelmayr USA Year Built: 2016 Capacity: 1800 riders/hr Vertical: 807 ft Length: 2701 ft Design Speed: 1000 fpm Speed During Recording: 954 fpm
