The Southern Comfort 4 is a high speed quad located on the south side of Andesite Mountain, at Big Sky Montana. It was built in 2004 to replace an Heron-Poma triple from 1991(that lift is still standing today at Big Sky as the Dakota 3), and is 1 of 2 lifts that have UNI-GS terminals (the other being Lewis&Clark). Mainly serving mellow green and blue trails, the lift is popular with beginners. It occasionally gets a lot of traffic from the Ramcharger 8, and homeowners from Spanish Peaks and the Yellowstone Club as it is the only lift that connects skiers to the rest of the mountain from Andesite.

Mentioned in their 2025 plan, Boyne has plans to upgrade this lift to a higher capacity; specifically a bubble-6. Personally I really don't think that's a great idea. The day I filmed it there was almost nobody there the entire day. That being said I don't ski here that often, so I really can't assume their reasoning. I would love to see this lift be relocated to Moonlight Basin, as crowds are more in volume at the Six Shooter, and it is the only lift (detachable wise) out of the Moonlight base area.
