The Journal of Artorius Valiente : The Rot Below Entry 5 || Lichtown [Skyrim Quest Mod]

The mage had once been among the greatest scholars in Adabelle's court, but centuries of undeath had reduced him to little more than a vessel for destructive magic. His chambers burned with unnatural flame, their walls blackened by experiments long forgotten. Fire answered his every command, filling the halls with walls of living flame that sought to separate Serana and me. While I closed the distance beneath a rain of fire, Serana answered spell with spell. Lightning shattered the mage's wards while torrents of frost extinguished his infernal creations. At last, Witchbane found its mark, ending the Pyromancer's long and tortured existence. Serana and I stood alone once more. Ahead of us, a massive stairway descended into darkness. Far below, faint lights flickered in the distance. The true Lich Town awaited. And somewhere beyond its streets stood a cathedral dedicated not to the Divines, but to rot itself. For the first time since entering this nightmare, I could feel the end approaching. The question was whether we would survive long enough to see it.
