The 76-Year-Old Student of Knowledge Who Never Puts His Pen Down | Shaykh Abdur Razzaq al-Badr

Islamic Reminder | English Translation of a Lecture by Shaykh Abdur Razzaq al-Badr How can a Muslim protect themselves daily from the evils of their own soul and the whispers of Shaytan, and what does true, lifelong dedication to learning look like? A strong believer arms themselves with both authentic supplication and relentless effort. In the concluding segment of this lecture, Shaykh Dr. Abdur Razzaq al-Badr teaches the powerful morning and evening supplication that the Prophet ﷺ specifically instructed Abu Bakr to recite to seek refuge from the soul's evils and the snares of the Devil. Following this vital spiritual advice, the Shaykh pauses to acknowledge a 76-year-old student sitting in the audience who continuously took notes throughout the entire gathering. This incredibly inspiring interaction serves as a beautiful reminder to the youth that seeking Islamic knowledge is a lifelong journey that demands high ambition, focus, and a pen that never rests.
