Why We Should Share Islamic Knowledge Even When We Think Everyone knows it | Shaykh ibn al Uthaymeen

Islamic Reminder | English Translation of a Lecture by Shaykh Ibn al-'Uthaymeen Why do we hesitate to share basic Islamic advice, and what happens when we reduce clear prophetic commands into nothing more than cultural traditions? In this concluding advice, the reality of acting upon knowledge is brought to light. In the final part of this lecture, the noble scholar Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih al-'Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) urges believers to spread knowledge at every suitable opportunity, warning against the trap of assuming that the community "already knows." He heavily cautions students of knowledge against failing to practice what they preach, noting that people naturally follow a scholar's actions more than their words. The Shaykh provides a detailed explanation regarding Islamic appearance—specifically the beard and the garment (isbal)—refuting the modern argument that these commands are mere "customs" or "traditions" that change with the times, proving instead that they are fixed acts of worship within the Shari'ah.
