Is Bottled Water Made From Sewage? A Chemist Sets the Record Straight

Is Bottled Water Made From Sewage? A Chemist Sets the Record Straight | Part 2 In Part 2 of my conversation with a chemist, we leave malaria behind and talk about what most of us drink every day: water and soft drinks. We talk about: 💧 Whether bottled water really comes from sewage, and what's true and what's myth 🧪 Distilled, purified and bottled water: why people use the words as if they mean the same thing ♻️ Recycled wastewater turned into drinking water, and whether it's safe 🌧️ Rainwater and well water: if they're free, why do we buy bottled water at all? 📊 Ranking rain, well and bottled water by purity, and what surprises people ⚠️ Can water be "too pure"? What happens when the minerals are stripped out 🥤 What carbonation does to a drink and to your body 🍬 Sugar and the daily soda habit: what happens over the years 🤔 Do we need carbonated drinks at all, or were we just sold them? If you've ever wondered what's in your glass, this one is for you. Drop your questions in the comments, and tell me what water myth you want a chemist to tackle next. 🔔 Subscribe to Joshua Shanabo for honest conversations with professionals who rarely get asked the real questions. #Chemistry #Water #BottledWater #Health #Nigeria #JoshuaShanabo I wrote the thumbnail and description from your question list, not from what he actually said. Please check them against his answers: • "From Sewage?" is only safe because it's a question. If he said it's a myth, the title still works. If he said some water really does come from treated wastewater, tell me and I'll adjust the wording. • The "too pure" water point is one I'm not fully certain of, so make sure it matches what he told you. • Skip the carbonation history unless he covered it. I left out who invented it, since you didn't mention it and I'd rather not put a name in your mouth.
