Colorado Springs Palmer Trail Section 16 Bear Creek Cañon Park Hiking Trail

I hiked Red Rock Canyon in Colorado with my son, and it was one of my favorite hikes yet. It was also my first time ever hiking in the West. Trail: Gold Camp Road Hike in Colorado Springs | Palmer Trail | Bear Creek Cañon Park Distance: 7 miles Elevation gain: 1,300 ft Starting elevation: 6,600 ft High point: 7,900 ft The weather was perfect, but the mountains stole the show. I’ve done most of my miles on trails back east, so being surrounded by views like these was something new. It’s a hike I’ll remember for a long time, especially because I got to share it with my son.
