The Book of Changes, also known as the Yijing or I Ching, began as a divination text and became one of the most influential classics of Chinese thought.
This video explores its history, the meaning of its sixty-four hexagrams, and the commentaries that transformed it into a philosophy of change, timing and conduct.
We examine the eight trigrams, yin and yang, changing lines, the Ten Wings, and the book’s influence on Daoist thought and inner alchemy. Along the way, we distinguish traditional origin stories from historical scholarship and explore interpretations followed on this channel.
From the hidden dragon to the final hexagram, Not Yet Complete, the Changes asks us to recognise the situation we stand within and respond with clarity.
