SZA - First Date Since You (Official Music Video)

She changed four times. She sat in the parking lot for twenty minutes and nearly cancelled. He is kind, he stood up when she walked in, he asked what she's been up to, and the honest answer is "surviving you", which is not something you say to a man who is being lovely. "First Date Since You" happens in real time at the table: the script in her head, the joke she uses to cover the moment something woke up in her stomach, the trip to the bathroom mirror where she gives herself permission to leave. And then he asks if she wants dessert, and she says yes, and for eleven minutes she is nowhere but that table. That's the whole victory, and the song treats it as enormous. He asked what I've been up to How do I say "surviving you" out loud It's my first date since you And the candle and the wine and the whole thing feels like a test I don't remember how to do this But I stayed, and that's the rest 🎧 Best with headphones. It's a story told in order, and it ends well. #SZA #FirstDateSinceYou #DatingAgain #NeoSoul #AlternativeRnB #SZA2026
