Lowering flap increases both lift and drag, so one wing can cruise fast yet still land slowly. The video shows how plain, split, slotted and Fowler flaps reshape the wing, why flap raises the maximum lift coefficient and lowers the stall speed, and what it gives you on the approach: a lower approach speed and a steeper descent. It ends with the handling points: re-trim for the pitch change, keep below VFE, and take care raising flap at low speed.
