Under 12 kWh/100 km on average during my test week — the Toyota C-HR+ is the most energy-efficient car I've tested so far. But does that make it a great everyday EV? In this Real Life Car Review, I spend a week with the Toyota C-HR+ First Edition with the 77 kWh battery, front-wheel drive and 18-inch wheels. I explore its real-world energy consumption, range and charging performance, then look at boot space, cabin storage, rear-seat comfort, infotainment, steering and ride quality. During my test, I saw around 12.5 kWh/100 km on the motorway, around 11 kWh/100 km on local roads and approximately 560 km of real-world range. At a DC charger, I also observed charging power approaching 170 kW without battery preconditioning. These are observations from this particular test week; conditions, speed, wheels and temperature affect the results. There is plenty to like, but also room for improvement: no rear wiper, limited front-cabin storage and a few controls that take some getting used to. Here's how it all comes together in everyday use. Do you own a C-HR+ or bZ4X? Share your real-world consumption, range and charging experiences in the comments — especially if you drive in colder conditions. Please include your battery version, wheel size and typical temperatures. If you enjoyed the review, please like the video and subscribe for more Real Life Car Reviews.
