The Scania K230 ridgid makes around 230 horsepower — so why can it feel so slow? In this video, I look at how the K230 actually performs in Adelaide, especially on the O-Bahn, and compare it with more powerful buses like the K280, K320 and K360. We look at why horsepower alone doesn’t determine how fast a bus feels, including power-to-weight, gearing, transmission behaviour and something that matters a lot on the O-Bahn: performance reserve.
