What is everyday life really like in China outside the big cities? When people think about China, they often picture Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, or Chongqing — huge cities, skyscrapers, shopping malls, and millions of people. But that’s only one side of China. In this video, I take you to my hometown, a small and remote town in the mountains of southwest China, and show you what a normal day looks like here. My parents run a small barber shop where a haircut costs just 15 yuan (about $2). We have lunch together during the Mid-Autumn Festival, take my 80-year-old grandpa to the local hospital, help clean his house, and walk around the town center at night. There are no skyscrapers or fancy shopping malls here. Instead, you’ll see small businesses, local street food, elderly people playing cards, families spending time together, and ordinary people going about their daily lives. This is a side of China that you probably don't see very often online. Thanks for watching, and welcome to my hometown. 🇨🇳 #china #chineselifestyle #ruralchina #SmallTownChina #LifeInChina #chinavlog #chineseculture #SouthwestChina
