Drying, cutting back and storing amaryllis bulbs

Here's the procedure I've been using to store amaryllis bulbs for over 10 years. In Spring, after the danger of frost, I plant them outside in my garden. Over the years they'll done well. So well, I've recently had over 700 of them. Oddly, they're all of the Red Lion variety. I recently gave away over 500 young bulbs, so others can enjoy them, too.
