ABB UFES increases safety with active arc mitigation

ABB recently conducted two arc fault tests of our Advance MV metal-clad non-arc-resistance switchgear. The first test was conducted without the UFES (Ultra-fast earthing switch). The second test was conducted with the UFES, an arc quenching system that provides the highest level of safety for MV and LV systems against arc faults. The difference was explosive. See for yourself.
