వినాయకుడికి ఎంతో ఇష్టమైన మోదకాలు | Coconut Jaggery Modak | Vinayaka Chavithi Special    • Lord Ganesha's Favorite Modaks | Coconut J...   Vinayaka Chavithi Special Modakalu In today’s video, we are preparing delicious and traditional Modakalu, a special prasadam prepared during Vinayaka Chavithi / Ganesh Chaturthi. These beautiful homemade modakalu are prepared with a soft rice flour outer layer and a delicious coconut-jaggery filling. With the right method, they turn out soft, perfectly shaped and absolutely delicious. Modak is traditionally offered to Lord Ganesha as Naivedyam, making this a wonderful recipe to prepare for your Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations. Ingredients For the outer covering: • 1 cup rice flour • 1¼ cups water • 1 tsp ghee • A pinch of salt For the sweet filling: • 1 cup grated fresh coconut • ¾ cup jaggery, grated • ½ tsp cardamom powder • 1 tsp ghee • A few saffron strands, optional Method 1. Prepare the filling 1. Heat 1 tsp ghee in a pan. 2. Add grated coconut and sauté for 1–2 minutes. 3. Add grated jaggery and cook on low flame. 4. The jaggery will melt and combine with the coconut. 5. Cook until the mixture becomes slightly thick. Don't make it too dry. 6. Add cardamom powder and mix well. 7. Allow the filling to cool completely. 2. Prepare the rice-flour dough 1. Add water, a pinch of salt and 1 tsp ghee to a pan. 2. Bring the water to a good boil. 3. Reduce the flame and gradually add the rice flour. 4. Mix continuously until there are no dry patches. 5. Cover and cook for 2–3 minutes. 6. Transfer the mixture to a plate and allow it to cool slightly. 7. While still warm, knead it into a soft, smooth dough. Keep the dough covered so it doesn't dry out. 3. Using the modak mold 1. Lightly grease the inside of the mold with ghee or oil. 2. Take a small portion of dough. 3. Press it into the mold, spreading it along the sides. 4. Leave the center hollow for the filling. 5. Put a small amount of coconut-jaggery filling inside. 6. Cover the top with a little more dough. 7. Close the mold and press gently. 8. Open the mold carefully and remove the shaped modak. 9. Repeat with the remaining dough and filling. 4. Steam the Modakalu 1. Grease a steamer plate or place banana leaves inside the steamer. 2. Arrange the modakalu without overcrowding them. 3. Steam for approximately 10–12 minutes on medium heat. 4. When the outer covering looks slightly shiny and cooked, switch off the flame. 5. Allow them to rest for 2–3 minutes before serving. 🙏 Serving Serve these delicious Modakalu warm as a Vinayaka Chavithi prasadam/naivedyam. Tip: The most important part for soft modakalu is keeping the rice-flour dough soft and well-covered while shaping. The filling should also be thick enough that it doesn't release excess moisture. #VinayakaChavithi #Modakalu #ModakRecipe #GaneshChaturthi #VinayakaChavithiSpecial #ModakaluRecipe #GaneshChaturthiSpecial #IndianSweets #TraditionalRecipes #TeluguRecipes #SpicyCrunch   / spicycrunch18     / spicycrunch18   #Spicy Crunch Recipes #cooking with spicy crunch #spicycrunch
