Vdo49 Rolling and Slipping of a Disk Powered by an Internal Motive Torque - Part 5

In this video, we consider the problem of a disk on a horizontal plane where motion of the disk is caused by an internal motive torque. In this case, the friction from the ground enables forward motion of the disk. We address the question of what maximum torque will admit rolling without slipping, i.e., at what minimum internal torque will the disk start slipping. We solve the problem using two approaches and show that both give the same result.
