Turkey Pen Gap to Wagon Road Gap

Last Friday … Sally & I returned to Pisgah to explore another new to us area. After 1 u-turn … we found the gravel road leading to Turkey Pen Gap. The hike itself was pretty straightforward with lots of fungi along the way! The only climb is up Sharpy Mountain which challenges you with a roughly 500’ climb in a half mile. It’s definitely a moderate climb! Great hike made cool with the fog layer! We took Turkey Pen Gap west to Wagon Gap Road before retracing our steps!
