There are factories that close.
Their furnaces cool.
Their machinery is dismantled.
Their workers move on.
Eventually, nature takes what remains.
Greyskull’s Factory was never one of them.
Long before anyone remembered who built it, the Factory was already standing—an impossible maze of steel, furnaces, tunnels, towers, assembly halls, and machinery stretching farther than any surviving blueprint could explain.
At its center stands Factory 13.
And tonight...
The Maker is walking home.
He approaches alone.
Tool case in one hand.
The number 13 on his back.
Ahead of him, the Factory rises into the storm like an industrial city built for something much larger than mankind.
Smoke climbs from stacks that should have gone cold years ago.
Furnaces glow behind broken walls.
Steam rolls across abandoned rail lines.
Steel pumpkins watch silently from the ruins—old creations scattered among machines that refuse to die.
Above everything towers the enormous skull of Greyskull’s Factory.
Its eyes burn through the darkness.
Not decoration.
Not architecture.
Recognition.
The Factory knows who has returned.
The Maker isn't here to conquer it.
He isn't here to destroy it.
He comes because broken things have always called to him.
Machines.
Radios.
Forgotten equipment.
Objects other people would throw away.
He repairs them.
Restores them.
Sometimes he creates something entirely new from what remains.
And perhaps that is why Greyskull’s Factory allows him through the gate.
Because the Factory understands the same language.
Build.
Break.
Repair.
Repeat.
As The Maker moves deeper into the complex, pieces of the world we've discovered begin surrounding him.
Somewhere beyond the smoke lies Servo Hall, where machines still remember the movements of workers who disappeared decades ago.
Far below the production floors, The Buried Signal continues transmitting through foundations older than the Factory's own records.
In forgotten sectors, the Factory Ghosts still walk their final shifts.
Beyond the main structures, something enormous moves through the scrapyards.
Rust and Ruin is still collecting.
And somewhere in the darkness...
Iron Maw waits.
There are corridors leading toward the Bent Cathedral.
There are doors that should never be opened.
There are sections that don't appear on any map.
And somewhere beyond all of them stands Sector 13.
Quiet.
For now.
Then there are the others.
The Lantern Keeper walks paths most people never find, carrying the same green light that once guided a frightened boy out of the Factory.
And somewhere within these walls...
a woman sings.
The machines hear her.
The pipes carry her voice.
The Factory itself seems to become quieter when she is near.
Her Iron Veil.
The Voice of Greyskull’s Factory.
The Maker may never see all of them tonight.
But they're here.
They've always been here.
And above them all is the one presence that needs no face.
No photograph hangs on the wall.
No employee record bears his name.
No timecard records the beginning of his shift.
Yet lights illuminate before The Maker reaches them.
Locked doors open.
Dead machinery receives power.
And somewhere in an office that should have been abandoned decades ago...
a telephone rings.
The Foreman is listening.
He always is.
Because while everyone else eventually leaves...
The Foreman never clocks out.
The Maker finally reaches the enormous entrance beneath Factory 13.
He stops.
For one moment, the entire complex becomes silent.
Then—
CLUNK.
A relay closes.
Lights ignite hundreds of feet into the distance.
THOOM.
A furnace awakens.
Conveyors begin moving.
Hydraulic systems pressurize.
Servo motors rotate.
Warning beacons illuminate across the skyline.
One system after another comes alive until the darkness ahead becomes an endless corridor of machinery.
The Maker looks down at the case in his hand.
There is work to do.
There will always be work to do.
He takes another step.
And Greyskull’s Factory begins another shift.
GREYSKULL’S FACTORY
This isn't merely another track in the playlist.
This is the place every track has been taking us.
The machines.
The ghosts.
The forgotten sectors.
The steel pumpkins.
The Lantern Keeper.
Her Iron Veil.
Iron Maw.
Rust and Ruin.
The Maker.
The Foreman.
Every hallway leads deeper into the same impossible place.
Every machine carries another memory.
Every story reveals another piece of something much larger.
Because Greyskull’s Factory was never simply abandoned.
It was waiting.
Machines remember.
The Foreman listens.
The Maker walks in.
And somewhere beyond those gates...
the Factory is still building its story.
