My Mushroom Log Projects

In this video I drilled holes, hammered plug spawn dowels, and sealed them with wax. I used North Spore blue oyster mushroom spawn for this project. After a few days I was able to move them to a temporary home beside my house. I also checked on the shiitake logs I started in the fall. I used the totem method with sawdust spawn for those log pieces. They needed to be relocated afterwards and I tried to keep them together to ensure the mycelium was getting what it needed. After layering them I covered them with a tarp. Hopefully in a few months I'll have shiitake mushrooms and next year some blue oyster mushrooms! #gardening #backyardgardening #northspore #mushroomfarm
