Venice of the Cotswolds

Travel UK: Bourton-on-the-Water & Stow-on-the-Wold, Cotswolds, England I make a 1-hour stop at Bourton-on-the-Water in late February. My walk includes the river and the Model Village, followed by lunch in Stow-on-the-Wold at The Porch House, England's oldest inn. (I also went to St Nicholas Church in Oddington on this day.) My trip wasn't long enough to enjoy all the sights. I'm personally not sure if I would recommend traveling here, especially if your time in the UK is limited. The winter months are somewhat gloomy as the trees and flowers are not out, while the summer months are meant to be heaving with tour buses and tourists (it was already very busy when I was there off-season). Every venue except the river walk has an entrance fee, and restaurant meals are GBP20 upwards, making it a potentially costly trip, particularly if you come as a family.
