Recording of the first Journal of Eye Movement Research webinar accompanying the Special Issue "Eye Tracking in the Age of AI: Explainability, Prediction, and Applications", held online on 14 September 2026. For most of its history, eye tracking recorded where attention had already gone. With AI-based modelling, it has become an instrument of anticipation, estimating from an image alone what a person will look at. This session addresses the methodological questions raised by that shift.
