DevFest 2026 Ahlen | David Aniebo – From Clicks to Tool Calls

DevFest 2026 Ahlen | David Aniebo – From Clicks to Tool Calls: Building Agent-Ready Web Applications with WebMCP For decades, web applications have been engineered exclusively for human visual navigation and clicks. What happens when autonomous AI agents become your users? In this talk from DevFest 2026 Ahlen Online, David Aniebo (Software Engineer) explores how the web platform is evolving for an agentic era. Learn how to leverage modern Web APIs and WebMCP—an emerging web standard—to expose structured, discoverable tools that AI agents can reliably invoke. David covers auth patterns, user confirmations for sensitive operations, secure sandboxing, and defending against prompt injection. 📌 Event: DevFest 2026 Ahlen (Online) 🏛️ Hosted by: GDG Ahlen (Google Developer Group Ahlen) 🔗 GDG Ahlen Community: https://gdg.community.dev/gdg-ahlen/ ⚠️ Important Disclaimer / Wichtiger Hinweis: EN: All DevFest Ahlen and Google Developer Group (GDG) Ahlen events are strictly community-driven, non-commercial, and 100% free to attend.
