Is being wealthy a sign of being distant from Allah? Does living in poverty make someone more righteous? And what does Islam actually teach us about money, wealth, and financial success?
In our society, we often associate poverty with simplicity and righteousness, while looking at wealthy people with suspicion. But Islam does not judge a person's character by how much money they possess. What truly matters is their attitude towards wealth, how they earn it, and how responsibly they use it.
In this video, I discuss the difference between wealth and contentment (Qana'at), the Quranic perspective on money, and the responsibility that comes with financial resources. Through examples from Islamic history and everyday life, I explain why earning more is not necessarily wrong, and why money should never become the ultimate measure of success.

📝 In This Video, You'll Understand:
• Is being rich or poor a measure of righteousness in Islam?
• The real difference between poverty, simplicity, and Qana'at.
• What the Quran teaches about wealth, trade, and financial responsibility.
• Lessons from wealthy and respected figures in early Islamic history.
• Why money should not become the definition of success.
• The importance of wealth circulation, business, and economic contribution.
• Why halal earnings and responsible spending matter equally.
• How young people can pursue financial success without losing their values.

💡 Key Reflection
Wealth is neither a guarantee of success nor proof of righteousness. Similarly, poverty alone does not make someone spiritually superior.
The real question is not how much money we have, but what kind of relationship we have with it.
Money can support families, create employment, strengthen communities, and become a means of helping others. But when wealth becomes our identity or the only measure of achievement, we risk losing sight of its greater purpose.
Financial success should come with gratitude, honesty, responsibility, and an awareness that what we possess is not permanent.
Earn with integrity, live with contentment, and use your resources for good.
✓ Pursue halal income without making money your ultimate goal.
✓ Remember that contentment depends on your attitude, not your bank balance.
✓ Be responsible for both how you earn and how you spend.
❓ Do you think our society wrongly associates poverty with righteousness and wealth with greed?
Share your thoughts in the comments. Your perspective may help others rethink their relationship with money.
