From Queenstown to Franz Josef | Blue Pools, Haast Pass & More

A long drive today from Queenstown all the way up to Franz Josef. We broke up the journey with some beautiful stops—Blue Pools, Haast Pass lookout, Ship Creek and Bruce Bay. Each spot gave us a reason to stretch our legs and reset our minds from the endless winding roads. We tried to catch a glimpse of Fox Glacier at the lookout, but no glaciers in sight. By the time we reached Franz Josef, it felt so good to take a break from the campervan and check into Te Waonui Forest Retreat.
