Franz Josef Glacier, Lake Matheson & a Sunset at Kylondyke

We started the day at Franz Josef Glacier, and it was heartbreaking to see how little of the glacier is left because of global warming. From there we went on to Lake Matheson for the hike—beautiful trail, but the weather didn’t play along, so no mirror reflection of the mountains this time. Since the skies stayed grey, we made our way to our stop for the night at Kylondyke campsite.
