Lake Olbolosat Was NOT What I Expected! 🇰🇪 | Exploring Nyandarua EP2 Beyond the Aberdares

Lake Olbolosat was our next stop as we continued exploring Nyandarua beyond the Aberdares. After discovering Nyakanja Springs and its waterfall in Episode 1, we had two options for our next adventure, Nyahururu and Thompson’s Falls, or Lake Olbolosat. Lake Olbolosat won. We drove through the scenic Nyandarua countryside, explored the lake by boat, enjoyed the birdlife and checked out accommodation nearby. But with rain closing in, darkness approaching and 6 km of murram road ahead, it was time to make our way out. We stopped in Ol Kalou for a well-deserved meal before heading back to Nairobi. 📍 Route: Nyakanja Springs → Lake Olbolosat → Ol Kalou → Nairobi Places like Lake Olbolosat remind me just how much Kenya has to offer beyond the usual tourist routes.
