Make Me What You Desire | Powerful Country Gospel Song of Surrender & Transformation

“Make Me What You Desire” is a heartfelt country-gospel song about surrendering our lives to God and allowing Him to shape us into the people He created us to be. Sometimes the greatest prayer we can pray isn’t, “Lord, change my circumstances,” but rather, “Lord, change me.” Like clay in the hands of the Potter, we may not always understand the shaping, the waiting, the valleys, or even the pruning. But we can trust the hands of the One who sees what we cannot see. God knows what needs to remain, what needs to be removed, and what we can become when we fully surrender to Him. This song is a prayer: Change me, Lord. Soften my heart. Strengthen my faith. Remove what keeps me from Your will. Make me what You desire. The road of transformation isn't always easy. Sometimes God uses valleys to teach us dependence. Sometimes He uses waiting to deepen our faith. Sometimes He removes things we thought we needed so that our lives can bear greater fruit. But through every season, His grace is working. “But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter.” — Isaiah 64:8 If you’re in a season where God is working on your heart, may “Make Me What You Desire” become your prayer. Not my plans above Yours. Not my will above Yours. Not who I used to be. Lord, take my life and make it what You desire.
