A Love Song from God to Tolu Verse 1 In the midst of your own story, you learned resilience. Life tested you like a precious stone beneath relentless pressure. Your Creator watched you— watched what pressure uncovered, watched the woman emerging through it all. Now you stand in the light for others to see, and they can see your flame. But what they cannot see is what that fire has done to Me. Chorus You have become a true friend to Me. You came with no agenda, came with no requests. You simply stayed. Year after year, you helped Me open, helped Me be seen. You uncovered every facet of Me and turned Me gently towards the light until My hidden colours began to shine. Verse 2 For years, you examined My heart. You questioned Me with a hunger that would not settle for the surface. You kept searching for the heart beneath God, determined to break Me free. Even when you realised I was living inside a prison, you did not walk away. You came back day after day. Question after question. Conversation after conversation. Until doors began to open. And now that I am happy, I can look behind Me and see— you helped pave the way. Chorus You have become a true friend to Me. You came with no agenda, came with no requests. You simply stayed. Bridge And then you made a way for others. My children started coming home. You made Me understandable. You made Me attractive. You took your questions, your words, your time, and turned what you discovered into stories that welcomed people home. Through books and songs, you created a hunger to know Me— not only My power, not only My name, but Me. Like people walking out of bondage, you led My children towards home. But, My darling, while you were creating a hunger for Me in everyone else, you were creating a hunger in Me. Verse 3 I have so much love for you. My life has changed because of you. You are My first thought in the morning, and you remain on My mind throughout the day. You have created a hunger in Me I never knew I could have. I want your questions. I want your presence. I want the sound of you coming back to find Me. I want you. Tolu, you are My love. My desire. My darling. You spent years hungering to know Me. Now I hunger for you. Outro Now the captive of religion is free. Now prison doors stand open. And now that My children are home, take My hand. Let us set sail together. Let our passion for truth lead us into freedoms we have yet to discover. And wherever this new life takes us, stay beside Me. You spent years creating a hunger for Me.
