Stop Complaining – You’re Blessed, Healed, and Delivered

Matthew 5 is the opening chapter of one of the most famous sections of Jesus' teachings, known as the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7). In this chapter, Jesus presents the foundational truths of the Kingdom of God, challenging both religious traditions and worldly attitudes. The chapter begins with the Beatitudes, a series of blessings that describe Godly character. The Beatitudes reveals what life should look like for those who have accepted Jesus Christ and are now in the Kingdom of God. Jesus has been preaching, teaching, and healing throughout the region, attracting large crowds. Seeing these crowds, Jesus goes up onto a mountainside and begins teaching His disciples while others listen (Matthew 5:1-2). "Hear" often refer to perceiving words with your ears. Listen means more than just hearing sounds. It literally means paying attention, obtain understanding, accept what’s being said and obey what’s being taught. The humble recognize their need for God. The merciful show compassion to others. The pure in heart seek God sincerely. Those who hunger for righteousness desire to live rightly. The faithful remain committed to God even through difficulties.
