The Wayne County Sheriff Rafael Washington’s lawyers failed to have his lawsuit dismissed. Now the case is going to trial, or the county will settle before the trial date period. Case not going to trial though because the county doesn’t want all that Washington information to get out due to more victims coming out. There was to be a Zoom feed so the public could watch the dismissal attempt but somehow Sheriff Rafael Washington's lawyers found a way to get the hearing private. If Sheriff Washington has publicly denied all the allegations, then why is his lawyers wanting hearings private? There has been deposition information that the victim has footage/recording of what Sheriff Washington did to her and he did not deny that.
