Alton Towers | We Took On the BIGGEST Rides… Almost! 😂🎢

From being launched to 100kph in just 2.5 seconds, flying through the air, surviving a vertical freefall, and facing the terrifying 14-loop monster that is The Smiler… this was one adrenaline-filled day! 🎢💨😱 But before we even reached the rides, our day started with something that gave us serious Disney World vibes… the Alton Towers Monorail! 🚝🏰😂 Join AJ Adventures as we take on some of Alton Towers’ biggest and most iconic rides, including Nemesis Reborn, Galactica, Rita, TH13TEEN, Oblivion and The Smiler! And with one of us deciding that The Smiler was a step too far… who actually braved the world’s first 14-loop rollercoaster? 👀🎢 Let’s get into it! 🔥 Our day started with a ride on the Alton Towers Monorail from the car park to the park entrance—and we couldn’t help but get some serious Disney World vibes! 🚝😂 Once inside, we headed straight to Forbidden Valley for our first ride of the day: Nemesis Reborn! 🔥🎢 After its incredible transformation, we couldn’t wait to experience this legendary coaster. Next, we took to the skies on Galactica, gliding through the air on an incredible flying coaster experience! 🚀 Then came Nemesis Sub-Terra… 👀 Let’s just say this one wasn’t our favourite ride of the day and the experience was definitely a sensory overload! 😂 We then slowed things down with a family favourite—Runaway Mine Train 🚂💨 and even picked up a brand-new AJ Adventures catchphrase along the way: CHOO CHOO! 🚂😂 The ride gave us some serious Big Thunder Mountain vibes and was a fun change of pace after the bigger coasters. Afterwards, we grabbed some delicious theme park donuts 🍩 before making our way towards Dark Forest. First up was Rita, which launches you from 0 to 100kph in just 2.5 seconds! 💨😱 Then we climbed aboard TH13TEEN—the world’s first vertical freefall drop rollercoaster! 🎢😱 This was one of our favourite rides of the day and definitely one we would ride again! After all those thrills, we took the Skyride across the park towards the Rollercoaster Restaurant 🚠🍔 for some well-deserved lunch. And what an experience it was! Our food arrived on carts travelling around the restaurant on a rollercoaster-style track, making lunch an attraction in itself! 🍽️🎢 With our energy restored, we walked through the beautiful Alton Towers Gardens 🌳🌺 towards our next challenge… Oblivion. 😱 We took on the world’s first vertical drop rollercoaster before heading to what became the ride of the day… 🔥 THE SMILER! 🔥 With its world-record-breaking 14 inversions, The Smiler is certainly not for the faint-hearted! 🎢😵‍💫 Andy decided to sit this one out, while Jon and our friends Nic and Jack bravely took on the ultimate Alton Towers challenge! 😂🔥 From Nemesis Reborn and Galactica to TH13TEEN, Oblivion and The Smiler, this was one seriously adrenaline-filled day at Alton Towers!
