AI runs on special chips, and whoever has more can build smarter helpers. DEEPSEEK-MOE puts every chip it has into one giant datacenter next to a power plant, a fence goes up between the two sides (Gemini sells over it, under it, and through its own door), and NEXT-2 makes the climb three times as fast. The strange part: the US side has far more chips, but the heights are close. Summit Rush is an SNES-style animated series about the AI race, made entirely in code: every pixel, note and sound effect is generated, with no image or audio files. Season 3 is loosely inspired by two published scenarios from the AI Futures Project: AI 2027 (Daniel Kokotajlo, Eli Lifland, Thomas Larsen, and Romeo Dean, with Scott Alexander) and AI 2040: Plan A (Daniel Kokotajlo, Eli Lifland, Thomas Larsen, Romeo Dean, Brendan Halstead, and Ryan Greenblatt). It's a cartoon, not a forecast: no dates, no predictions, just the shape of the story. Not affiliated with or endorsed by the AI Futures Project or the scenarios' authors.
