56th Annual Puerto Rican Festival Kicks Off At Parcel 5 In Downtown Rochester

GSL News is on the scene in Downtown Rochester as Western New York's longest-running ethnic festival officially returns for its historic 56th year. The 56th Annual Puerto Rican Festival is underway at Parcel 5, bringing three high-energy days of Latino culture, community pride, and heritage to the heart of the city. Running from Thursday, July 30, through Saturday, August 1, 2026, the festival transformed Parcel 5 into a massive hub of live music, authentic cuisine, family activations, and cultural performances. This year's main stage features an extraordinary international lineup, including headlining performances from El Blachy, Tony Vega & Lennox, and Oscarito "Que Loco" & ORQ. A major highlight of the weekend takes place on Saturday, August 1, as the community gathers for the annual Puerto Rican Parade Celebration in Downtown Rochester. Opening ceremonies begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the main parade march at 11:00 AM, bringing thousands together to showcase music, dance, and cultural floats through the downtown streets.
