James and Ben’s Big Beautiful Bull - August 2026 caribou float hunt

Ben and I embarked once more on a remote caribou float hunt. The river and terrain proved to be challenging , and the caribou proved to be scarce. However, we did manage to get a large older bull and successfully rafted out to where we could get picked up. It was another adventure of a lifetime, and I definitely owe Ben the next animal of his choosing. There is a tribute toward the end to our pilot Nick Peters. Sadly, he passed away in a plane crash in September near Aniak. At the time I’m writing this there is still a go fund me for him up at: https://www.gofundme.com/f/donate-to-...
