Is your iman feeling weak? Do you feel distant from Allah, spiritually empty, or unmotivated to worship? This powerful Islamic reminder explains how to increase your iman, recognize the signs of weak faith, renew your heart, and reconnect with Allah through practical acts of worship. Iman increases through obedience to Allah and decreases through sins and heedlessness. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that faith can wear out in the heart just as clothing wears out, and he instructed us to ask Allah to renew the faith within our hearts. In this Islamic lecture, you will discover: • Signs that your iman is becoming weak • The main causes of spiritual weakness • Why sins darken and weaken the heart • How neglecting salah affects your relationship with Allah • Why you may no longer feel khushū‘ during prayer or Quran recitation • How excessive attachment to the dunya and desires damages faith • Why anxiety, hopelessness, and fear of the future can reflect weak tawakkul • How bad company influences your relationship with Allah • Practical ways to strengthen your faith and revive your heart Some common signs of weak iman include delaying salah without a valid excuse, rarely remembering Allah, abandoning voluntary worship, committing sins without remorse, losing enjoyment in worship, neglecting the Quran, becoming impatient during trials, constantly complaining, wasting time in useless talk, and becoming increasingly absorbed in worldly desires. The causes of weak faith may include distance from the Quran, repeated sins, neglecting prayer and dhikr, excessive love of wealth or fame, following unlawful desires, keeping harmful company, failing to seek Islamic knowledge, and forgetting death and the Hereafter. But weak iman does not have to remain weak. You can renew your faith through sincere tawbah, consistent salah, daily Quran recitation, reflection upon Allah’s signs, regular dhikr and istighfar, making dua, attending gatherings of Islamic knowledge, giving charity, remembering death, and surrounding yourself with righteous companions. Allah says: “The true believers are only those whose hearts tremble at the remembrance of Allah, whose faith increases when His revelations are recited to them, and who put their trust in their Lord.” — Quran 8:2 “Surely, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find comfort.” — Quran 13:28 The Prophet ﷺ said that faith wears out inside the heart as a garment wears out, so we should ask Allah to renew the faith in our hearts. — Reported by al-Ṭabarānī and al-Ḥākim; authenticated in Ṣaḥīḥ al-Jāmiʿ, no. 1590 He ﷺ also said that no one is given anything better after certainty than well-being. — Jāmiʿ al-Tirmidhī, no. 3558; Musnad Aḥmad If you are searching for how to get closer to Allah, how to strengthen your iman, how to overcome weak faith, how to return to salah, or how to revive a spiritually dead heart, this reminder is for you.
