This time, we’ve moved further towards Borra Guhalu to document the latest progress at Tunnel No. 36 & Tunnel No. 37. The KK Line is approximately 445.5 km long, connecting Kottavalasa in Andhra Pradesh with Kirandul in Chhattisgarh via Koraput, Odisha. This important railway corridor plays a major role in transporting iron ore from the Bailadila region to Visakhapatnam & the East Coast ports. This section between Shivalingapuram & Borraguhalu covers around 27 km of challenging hilly terrain. The construction work is being executed by IRCON International & DRA Infracon as a Joint Venture. In this video, we’ll take you to the remote construction sites, show you the tunnel portals, ongoing excavation work, & give you a closer look at how these new tunnels are being developed inside the mountains.
