RR to Casner Mt Trailhead

Mon, Oct 26, 2026, the last 3 Railside Riders at Railside RV Ranch took their last ride of the season. We first rode to check out Jack & Sharon's trail cameras and then we headed toward the Casner Mountain Trailhead. We took FR139 to FR109 then to FR141. Then we turned off on FR527 to FR538. We made a stop at FR538h for the Winter Cabin Trailhead. After a pitstop, we headed back on FR538, and our final turn was on FR538b. That took us to the Casner Mt. Trailhead. The views were amazing! One side was the red Rock-Secret Mountain Wilderness and on the other side was Sycamore Canyon Wilderness. Sadly, there is a lot of damage from the Rafael Fire in 2021 and the Pocket Fire in 2026. Also, we had lots of puddles and mud from the resent rain showers. Lots of fun getting muddy! We then went back to FR538 and took it the rest of the way toward the Secret Mt, Trailhead. Stopped at Hidden Cabin and then took FR538k exploring. Headed home the same route. Total ride was 101 miles. Ready to come back next spring. Happy Trails!
