Trip-Report : a flight with Volotea just after a fire : flight from Bordeaux to Palma: EC-NNY Today I'm back with a Trip Report on a Volotea flight from Bordeaux–Mérignac (BOD) to Palma de Mallorca (PMI), operated by an Airbus A320-200 (EC-NNY) on 21 July 2026. This journey was far from ordinary. Earlier that afternoon, a major wildfire broke out near Bordeaux Airport, severely disrupting access to the airport. I arrived just 55 minutes before departure (7:30 PM for an 8:25 PM departure), making the situation extremely stressful. To make things even worse, the police on site were unable to direct passengers correctly and even told us that all flights had been cancelled, which turned out to be completely false. Fortunately, after contacting the airport directly, I learned that flights were still operating. The Tram Line F was the only way to reach the airport, and thanks to it I managed to arrive just in time. Sadly, only around 40 passengers from our completely full flight were able to make it to the aircraft.
