Originally performed by the legendary Frankie Ruiz, this song was reimagined by Rauw Alejandro in 2024 with "Tú Con Él," introducing its timeless sound to a whole new generation. First released in the 1980s, the original became a staple of salsa music, celebrated for its rich storytelling and emotional depth. Rauw Alejandro’s version stays true to those roots while adding a modern twist, helping the song find new popularity among younger audiences who simply can’t resist the pull of salsa beats. Salsa itself, shaped by Caribbean and Afro-Latin influences, is known for its dynamic partner work, quick footwork, and undeniable groove—something you have already and will definitely see on stage. Inspired by the incredible level of talent on the team this year, choreographers Daniel De Campo Bonomo, Daniela Castillo, and Emma Nicole García Gupton set out to push the dancers by increasing the tempo and showcasing more intricate footwork and partner combinations.
