Aaron Cook: MLB All-Star, Near-Death Experience and a $2 Million Mare

Aaron Cook: From MLB All-Star to a $2 Million Cow Horse Legacy | Chasing Champions Ep. 1 What do a Major League Baseball All-Star and one of the greatest producing mares in cow horse history have in common? *Aaron Cook.* In the debut episode of **Chasing Champions**, hosts Alan Chappell and Scott Beck sit down with former Colorado Rockies pitcher and 2008 MLB All-Star Aaron Cook for an incredible conversation about baseball, horses, and the unexpected turns that can change your life. Aaron takes us inside his journey to the big leagues, including the terrifying day he nearly lost his life on the pitcher's mound, his remarkable comeback, pitching in the 2007 World Series, and an unforgettable experience at the 2008 MLB All-Star Game. But his story doesn't end with baseball. After retiring, Aaron discovered the performance-horse industry, eventually becoming the owner of **Scooters Daisy Dukes**, a mare whose offspring have made an extraordinary impact on the cow horse world. The best part? Aaron wasn't even the one who bought her! What started as an unexpected trip to a horse sale turned into an investment worth an estimated $2 million or more. From the Rockies' clubhouse to the cutting pen, Aaron shares the stories, people, decisions, and a little bit of luck that helped shape his remarkable journey. *Welcome to Chasing Champions — where we discover the stories behind the people and horses that rise to the top.* Subscribe and join Alan Chappell and Scott Beck as they explore the world of cutting, reining, reined cow horses, roping, barrel racing, and the people who make champions. #ChasingChampions #AaronCook #ScootersDaisyDukes #CowHorse #PerformanceHorses #ColoradoRockies #MLB #CuttingHorses
