WXXA Commercial Breaks (December 22, 1985)

#80s The date is either December 22nd or December 29th, but it checks either way since this is from WXXA's "Sunday Matinee" of Shirley Temple movies. The movies broadcast were "Heidi" and "Wee Willie Winkie." WXXA-TV (channel 23) was an independent station, but in 1986 it became an affiliate of Fox; most of Shirley Temple's movies were in fact 20th Century Fox films. Look for WGY's Don Weeks promoting Taft Furniture, KATV sports director Paul Eells promoting the Contour Chair, and it's not 80s WXXA without an Era Plus commercial!
