WTEN Commercial Breaks (February 15, 1980)

#80s The oldest video ever on the channel, from the 1980 Winter Olympics, on ABC affiliate WTEN (channel 10) in Albany, NY. The Games were held just 2 hours north of Albany, in Lake Placid, which is currently being inspected by New York State to potentially host the Olympics again. The 1980s decade might have only been a month in, but I can see a lot of influence the decade would have in here. Highlights include a trailer for "Cruising" starring Al Pacino, and the bookends: a "PM Magazine" promo to start the video, and at the end, the "IBM Electronic Typewriter." I hear this thing called the computer is just a few years away from being a household asset! (C) 1980 Knight-Ridder Broadcasting; WTEN is now owned by Nexstar Media Group.
