Symbolism and Dedication in Vajrayana ‒ Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche

From the talk Sadhana in Vajrayana - Part 7 | India | 21-23 May, 2024 In this teaching, Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche explains the importance of symbolism in sadhana, showing that Vajrayana symbols should not be dismissed as merely cultural or decorative. Through examples such as Green Tara, ritual objects and the meaning of yoga, Rinpoche points to how symbols can support our perception and confidence in the path. Rinpoche also explains how sadhana is not simply reading a text, but becoming familiar with the deity, the nature of phenomena, and the union of wisdom and method.
