Mukh O Mukhosh is the first locally produced full-length full-length film of Bangladesh, released in 1956. Mukh O Mukhosh is the first locally produced full-length full-length film of Bangladesh (then East Pakistan). Released in 1956, the film was directed by Abdul Jabbar Khan. Iqbal Films financed and shot the film. The film was released on 3 August 1956. The film was first shown at Mukul Theatre (now Azad Theatre). It was released simultaneously in Dhaka, Chittagong, Narayanganj and Khulna.
The story of the film is taken from Abdul Jabbar Khan's play Dakat. He started working on the film in 1953. On 6 August 1954, Abdul Jabbar Khan conducted the mahurat of his first full-length film 'Mukh O Mukhosh' at Hotel Shahbagh. The then Governor of East Pakistan, Iskander Mirza, inaugurated the mahurat of the film.

(Character of the inspector) Crew Screenplay - Bipradash Thakur (Kolkata). Cinematography - Murari Mohan (Advisor). Later this responsibility was taken over by assistant cinematographer Zaman. Costumes - Shyam Babu (real name Shamsher Ali). Music - Abdul Alim and Mahbuba Hasnat. Music Director - Samar Das. Assistant Music Director - Dhir Ali. Sound Recording - Mainul Islam. Editor - Abdul Latif (West Pakistan). Miscellaneous Information Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Haque was the chief guest at the first screening of the film.
Initially, the film was named 'Dakaat'. Later, on the advice of Fazl Shahabuddin, it was named 'Mukh O Mukhosh'. The shooting was completed on 30 October 1955. The main locations of the shooting were Siddheshwari, Tejgaon, Rajarbagh, Kamalapur, Lalmatia, Jinjira and Tongi.
