On 6 August 1954, Abdul Jabbar Khan conducted the mahurat of his first full-length film 'Mukh O Mukhosh' at Hotel Shahbagh. The then Governor of East Pakistan, Iskander Mirza, inaugurated the mahurat of the film. Later, on the advice of Fazl Shahabuddin, it was named 'Mukh O Mukhosh'. The shooting was completed on 30 October 1955.
