Astrology Forecast: Venus Retrograde Game Plan

Venus is about to run the kind of long, slow storyline you can’t fully understand in the moment, but you can absolutely track it and use it. We’re looking at Venus through late August, all of September, and deep into the end-of-year stretch, with a focus on what Venus actually rules in real life: relationships and dating patterns, money and spending, self-worth and values, art and creativity, comfort, pleasure, and the way we negotiate with the people closest to us. Before we dive into Venus, I flag one intense weather report: Mars in Cancer squaring Saturn in Aries on September 1. Think “I want to go now” meeting “slow down and build it right.” If you’re launching something, changing a relationship dynamic, or pushing a personal goal, that friction can be useful, but it’s worth navigating carefully. Then we map the Venus timeline with clear dates so you can plan and reflect: Venus starts the pre-retrograde shadow on August 31 at 22 degrees Libra, enters Scorpio on September 10, turns retrograde October 3, slips back into Libra October 25, turns direct November 13, returns to Scorpio December 4, and finally clears the shadow on December 15. I’ll tell you why the Libra phase can feel like a glow-up, why Scorpio can bring possessiveness or doubt, and why the post-retrograde shadow is still “old territory” even when things start moving forward.
